My father just wrote to me, "A huge tornado went thru Lawrence, now Bonner Springs, and it's heading for us. Say a prayer." So I am asking this great prayer community to join me in prayer for the safety of not only my family, but all the families, in the paths of these destructive tornadoes. Let us also pray for all of the people recently affected by weather activity in Ohio, Indiana, Oklahoma and surrounding areas. 

Lord we know that you created this earth and that you keep it in balance. We've learned that weather activity and weather patterns are part of that "balancing of nature." We pray together tonight and all the time that the homeless, our children, our parents, are grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, friends, coworkers, strangers, and pets are spared the fear, injury and unfortunately death that all too often comes with these weather events. Protect them Lord. In your name we pray, Amen.
