I would like to give thanks for the families and parishioners of St. Gregory the Great Catholic School & Parish in San Diego. I wish their community a very successful Gala event being held today in downtown San Diego as they raise funds to re-build the Stations of the Cross at the parish, and a new sports field at the school. While there are certainly other urgent needs in our world that could benefit from a healthy dose of fund-raising, we acknowledge the need for safe/unbroken Stations at a large Catholic parish, as well as reasonable spaces for exercise and competitive athletics for children and families. My prayer today is in Thanksgiving for all individuals around the world who are generous with their Time, Talent and Financial Treasure to help others in need and give to important causes.
